I didn't look both ways when I cross the street.
I only looked left, and then i crossed the street. Nothing happened, but I'm really scared. My mommy told me if I didn't look both ways, I would get in trouble. HELP! I don't want to get in trouble.
Am I going to go to jail for this?

Well, some street crossings have cameras to see if little girls look both ways. If the intersection had a camera, you're probably going to jail, but hopefully it didn't. |

Clearly you weren't 5, people who are 5 aren't going to be on here typing and giving such a clear question. Although people who are 25 don't always make sense either so maybe it is as you get older you forget how to type complete words and make sense. Anyway if you don't look both ways then you are going to get hit one of these days. It may be the driver's responsibility to look out for you, but it's also your responsibility to make sure they can stop if they aren't otherwise directed to. I know when I'm driving I hate when people just walk out in front of you on snow or ice covered roads and then it's like oh man am I going to get totally stopped without bumping in to them. That's why I let cars go through if they are close or the roads are bad, unless it's a really long line then the 2nd or 3rd car usually stops and signals to let you go through. |
