What ever makes you comfortable,how can you keep both hands on the wheel when looking over you Right shoulder? you can't!! the examiner wants to see you make an all round observation when reversing... you don't have to wear you seat belt either, there exceptions when making this manover. |

your not supposed to. you should be able to back up in a straight line just using your mirrors. |

It's a matter of preference when you'v actually passed but it would be deemed as not being in control of the car whilst actually learning |

A Lot of Drivers will do this to balance themselves, it might look silly, but it's slightly aching having your head in such unusual position, so the arm goes out to lean onto somewhere secure.
Just try not to touch the examiner.
It isn't a test requirement though, to put your arm out. |

yes, my driving instructor told me that the tester would want me to do a 360 degree vision check, and then put my hand behind the passenger seat's head restraint, and back up while looking back 75% of the time and forward 25% of the time. |

I wouldn't, not on your test, just incase. You can do it after, but you don't wanna fail over something silly like that!!
