Parking issues could someone give me advice?

Hi,I have a parking issue, when visitor some to my house. If they park slighting over there line. But I have found that my neighbours are the first to complain. Mainly my father parks there now. I live in a block of Terence'snd have found that when we park anywhere even by two houses opposite with a bush. Where my friend parks so it is not covering any ones entrances that my neighbours still have the nerve to tell us to move the car. Although there family member has covered there entrance I am sick of this could you give me some laws or anything to cover this silly problem.

It seems that the issue here is that the person or person's parking the car in your neighborhood, they are parking on your neighbors property. If a car is blocking the entrance or if a car is parked on someone's property then yes, they can ask you to move the parked car because it is illegal to park on someone's property without their consent. The only thing I would do is abide by the law and make sure you aren't on their property or blocking any entrance. If you are going by the laws, and they are still harassing you then you can call the police about it and state your case. However I doubt that this is that kind of case.

Sorry but found it a bit hard to understand what you have written. Are you in the UK and parking on a public road? As long as a car is on the road, the answer to the neighbours is a polite shove off and get a life. No one has any right to park outside their house unless they have a disabled badge and a designated parking space. The police won't be interested in getting involved even if you are parked over the entrance to the drive unless there is a car on the drive and it can't get out. If the drive is empty and they can't get on there to park the police won't care. Unless you are parking on their property, when they have every right to ask you to move. CAB can advise you better

If your car is road legal,taxed,insured,mot`ed ect and there are no parking restrictions you can park anywhere on the public highway,its a pain not being able to park outside your own home but unfortunatly its not your right.

If you are in the UK this is an age old problem and has been the cause of a lot of hassle. The house owners have no repeat no rights over the patch of road outside their property. Providing you do not intrude into a driveway opening any motorist has as much right as the house owner to park there. It is a part of the public highway. The owners rights stop at their property boundary - which is usually where their front garden joins the footpath, if there is no footpath a portion of the verge alongside the road will be in public ownership.

The only exceptions to this is where a local council has placed a parking restricion regulation and issue residents parking permits. If they do this there will be a sign stating that.
