I think they have "fungus on the brain!" As a wheelchair user, I think anyone who stops in crosswalks (marked or otherwise), on driveways (where they intersect with sidewalks) or in front of curb ramps (otherwise referred to as "curb cuts") should be cited for a traffic offense. If they hit anyone who's a pedestrian, they should be cited for vehicular assault (at the mininum) and forfeit their drivers' license for at least six months (one year would be even better!). |

They should get a ticket like myself for not stopping. I learned this in traffic school, count to three before you make a right at a red light or go through a stop sign. |

I think that they should be ticketed, but if you start raising hell about it, you'll just bring about more & more legislation. In the end, we'll have to count to 10 before we can go, or there will be video cameras at every intersection. So, if you value your life enough watch out for 2 ton death-machines on wheels. Duh |

If you hit one like, a friend of mind did you will see what happens. They made it a city ordinance to stop at crosswalks. If you ever visit Hot Springs, Arkansas, be prepared to stop at crosswalks. My God!!! Life is fast enough, slow down and enjoy the world! |
