Problems driving at night?

In the past year I have noticed that I have a hard time seeing at night when I drive. I know that your eyesight can get worse as you get older but I am only 19 yrs old. I have never had contacts or glasses and I've always had perfect vision. I do not think it is a glare problem either because I have a hard time when i'm the only car on the road. What can I do to solve this problem?

first you need to get off answers and see an eye doctor<

Night vision issues are typically caused by a number of reasons:

Poor night vision can be inherited.

Poor night vision can be caused by a lack of nutrients or vitamin deficiencies

Poor night vision can be caused by degenerative diseases, such as macular degeneration.

Poor night vision can be caused by higher order aberrations.

Poor night vision can be caused by retinal problems.

Poor night vision can be caused by systemic diseases.

Poor night vision can be caused by poor absorption of vitamin A.

But don't listen to us, you need to see your doctor asap...

Friendly Stranger..
You need to go see an eye doctor. You don't want to endanger yourself anymore because it is dangerous to yourself and other drivers if you are driving with impaired vision. Driving at night isn't exactly the safest thing in general. Visibility is lowered automatically because of the darkness. So you continuing to drive with your eye condition will make things worse. You could cause an accident that may seriously injure someone or do harm to yourself. The best advice is to stop driving at night and go to an eye doctor. They will tell you what exactly is wrong with your eyes. I would do so immediately because if you don't then your vision will decrease causing more problems. Don't be a hazard by driving in that condition. Go to the eye doctor as soon as possible.

I had the same thing happen to me when I was about 16. I felt really nervous and clostrophic driving at night since my night vision was really poor. I later came to find out that my eyesight had VERY gradually been getting worse and I actually did need glasses when I was sure that I had 20/20 vision my entire life! Your eyes can go bad very subtly and you wouldn't even know. I'd see an eye doctor.

Go and meet with your doctor. The sooner you get some help the better off you will be and all of us who drive at night. You may need glasses for night driving. It's not a bad thing. It would make you appear like an intelligent driver.
