Putting on your blinkers in parking lots... what are the regulations?

i have a road test tomorrow, i failed last week bc i didn't put my blinkers on in the parking lot. what're the regulations for this??

In most places, whatever rules of the road apply on the streets, also apply on parking lots and private drives. Better to be safe and signal everywhere. |

It is a requirement to use your signals at all times while driving and turning .
Reason; to communicate your intentions to any and all drivers around you ,it's a ticket-able offense same as on a roadway with moving traffic.
Qualifies as a moving violation. |

During a driving test, you always use turn signals and do everything else as you would on the road.
As far as the regulations go, it depends on the parking lot. Most parking lots are private property and have NO regulations, except for illegal parking in handicapped spots or fire zones. |

Pretty much you put your blinkers on to which ever side you are about to turn to. |

A parking lots represent pretty intense driving, where you should drive slowly and safely to avoid hitting other people and cars, and you should be sure to obey stop signs, signal your intent to turn and the like, so that you don’t get hit by someone else.
Even if your state does not have specific laws that apply to driving in private lots, it makes good sense to protect yourself and others by obeying the laws set by the private lot.
