Question about a car accident?

Yesterday I got into my first car accident, It was raining and I was about to make a left turn (with my signal on) and someone rear ended me. There was no damage but my head hit the seat.. I didn't feel any pain until this morning when I woke up.
We did not exchange information because there was no damage, but now I am having really bad neck pain. Also, When I lay down and try to get back up, it hurts so bad that I can't move without help.
I know I should have gotten his information and I really regret that. Does this sound like something that I should go to the doctor for or will it go away on it's own?

Could be some minor whiplash. If it still hurts in a few days see a doctor. You really should get information after any accident, no matter how insignificant it may seem. |

Whiplash. Either see a doctor or take a few tylenol or aspirin. The stiffness and soreness should go away in a couple of days. If it doesn't, you need to file a report with your insurance company and seek treatment for a possible neck injury. Above all, be honest with the insurance company. You aren't required to report ALL traffic accidents but is is wise to do so. |

That was no accident, it was clearly his fault and you are correct in feeling foolish for not getting his information. Now if you do need to pay medical expenses, it's on you. |
