can a person return days later after claiming no damage from a car accident and say that they do have damage?

No. That would be unethical. If someone actually did this then you know they are trying to pull a scam. Most people will report the damage at the scene of an accident to the police. That is why they are there to file the report and get both sides of the story. This person that wants to claim damages after not claiming them is likely after money. In this case, they have no merit because they should have claimed damage in the beginning if there was indeed damage.

i think there is a time limit on that. better check and see.

Sometimes things don't show up at the time of the accident, however, most of the time it is with a single-car accident where someone jumps a curb or something similar where under-car damage happens. Don't see how this could be the case with a 2-car accident, unless it was something medical. I would have to say I would find it highly unusual to say the least.

not if a police report was filled out and signed ....anyways let your insurance co deal withit thats what you pay them for to represent you...

Sure, unless there's some state or local law limiting the time for reporting. It's quite possible to have undiscovered damage turn up later. Turn in the claim to your insurance company and let them handle it.
