Around the area I live, I see alot of these thin grey 'e' green speed cameras. look like this

It is believed these are still of a non type-approved variety and cannot be used for prosecutions. Is that true? Someone told me this and ive just seen it on a website now. point best answer

I guess they will keep changing cameras, all the time it is worth them using them. I have never been flashed or fined for speeding, and I drive fast, but never speed in urban areas or drive dangerously.
If everyone was like me, speed cameras would COST money, and never MAKE any money. Then they would all disappear! |

actually some states have approved those speed cameras. its actually accurate(i recived a ticket in the mail two weeks later). and it can be use for prosecutions because the resolution on the video is clear. |

Actually whoever told you this information is incorrect. The camera that you have shown is perfectly legal, and it can be used for prosecutions. How do I know this? Well it is simple. When that camera flashes it usually means that you have either run a red light or were speeding. So if you get a ticket in the mail, and you decide to contest the ticket, then it is likely that you will not get the overturn of the decision. These cameras are used all of the time in cases where individuals feel that they were wrongly prosecuted. So the judge and jury use the evidence from the camera to prove the defendant guilty. |
