What are you really asking here? The drain valve? The thermostat? There is no part called the "radiator valve" so throw us a bone here, we'd love to help.

I' m assuming that you are asking about a house radiator, used in hot water or steam home heating system. If so, the only kind that I have seen had a small valve near the top, that you could open to relieve pressure, or to drain some water. If my memory serves me correctly, you open the valve all the way, and it should actually come right out of the radiator. Then, you can change the rubber seal, similar to what you would find in a water tap.
Hope this helps.

sounds like you are asking how to change the thermostat. What kind of car...some are different. give is this information and we'll be happy to help.

Changing the thermostat is a straight forward process.

Depending on the location, I normally leave the top radiator hose attached to the thermostat housing. I unblot (normally two bolts) and lift of the housing. Remove the old thermostat. Clean the gasket material from the block and the housing. Place the thermostat (proper way down), us a bit of gasket goop, then place the gasket on the block, then place the housing back and tighten the bolts to the manufacturer's specs.

Refill lost coolant.

Voila! Run the vehicle. You may have to squeeze the top hose when it is hot to get the water moving. This will stop a water lock from happening and overheating the engine.

You have some great answers but if you have to ask , have someone with a bit more experience just on hand to just watch you through it and speak up if you are having a problem

If you are that thick you don't the difference between parts of your car and parts of your house I suggest you leave things alone.

1) make sure the engine is cold !!!!!!

2) drain down the coolant below the thermostat level

3) unbolt the thermostat housing

4) remove old thermostat - note orientation ( top and bottom)

5) clean off old gasket from both mating faces of housing

6) fit new thermostat , gasket, and bolt up

7) refit any hoses removed

8) top up cooling system ( with added inhibitor and anti- freeze)

9) run up engine and check for leaks, check for air locks and make sure heater is working)
