it's snowing pretty big now(2pm), and windy too. the temperature is around mid 30s and will drop to 20s in the evening. forcast said there'll be 1-3 inches of snow.
one of my friend has to drive 1 hr round trip to visit me today around 6pm, is it safe to drive? or I should let him come on another day? thanks.

You should probably have him visit another day, or have him stay with you until the conditions improve. |

Depends on how smart your friend is. As long as he uses caution and there isn't any ice, he should be fine. |

It sounds like this is just a visit and not an important meeting or job. So, it seems better to be safe and tell your friend to visit another day. Unless your friend feels very compatible driving in the snow or is used to driving in the slow. Of course tell your friend to drive slower and watch for ice. |
