Seat belt removal on my peugeot 207?

Hi all, can you help me to remove my seat belt from my Peugeot 207. I have managed to remove all but the upper bolt on the height adjuster which has a plastic cover over the bolt. the cover is the problem as i don't want to force it and break it, dose it just clip on or how is it fastened, Kind Regards Mike.

Sometimes it will pop off, others will slide off. Occasionally they are damaged when removed, but you can always get another for peanuts at a breaker's yard. Be careful of using any other seatbelt parts from a scrap car though: if the car has clearly had a crash then all seatbelts should be regarded as unusable.

When you refit the seatbelt it's best if you use a torque wrench to correctly tighten all fastenings. A Haynes manual will let you know the correct torque settings or you can just ask for the correct figure at your local Peugeot dealer.

99 percent of these covers will just pop off once you apply a little pressure..

You cannot legally drive a car with the seatbelt removed if it was installed with a seatbelt but I'm sure knowing that isn't going to make a bit of difference. You'll do it anyway.

If you remove it, you will not be able to pass a saftey inspection and you will have to take your car off the road.

You should not remove your seat belt. If you are in an accident, it may save your life. Without your seat belt, even the most moderate of collisions will turn deadly, and if you manage to survive them you may wish you hadn't.
