Seat belt to short for baby seat?

Hi,
(Manda F's husband after some advice)

We've just tried to fit the baby seat (0-12 months) and followed the guide/instructions/diagrams and everything else...however the seat belt is physically too short.

Luckily we've got 9 weeks before the baby arrives.

I've taken a look at seat belt extenders and NO they don't solve the problem. The actual belt is too short from the feeder near the window.

Facts:
Car is a Kia Shuma. (Replacing the heap isn't an option)
Kia has no advice/assistance.
There's no "alternative belt routes" on the website.
Car seat is I'coo E-Care Car Seat
It's not possible to go in the middle seat and we dont want it in the front seat.

Please provide any assistance. I state most of the above as I don't want a work-around, i need a solution.

looks like your only other option is to locate a different baby seat that will work with your shorter then normal seat belts.
