I have a 2007 Toyota Yaris Hatchback, 4 cylinder.
I know that there are hitches available for my car, however, is it safe to tow something like a 4'X8' UHaul trailer behind my little 4 banger?
Thank you in advance for your answers and any websites you can provide me to verify safety in this case.

The Yaris was not designed to tow anything. It is a minimal car and overloading it will damage it. The factory says it can carry just over 8oo lbs. When you add the weight of a driver and luggage that does not leave anything for towing. |

No its not made for towing. the reason you can get a hitch for your vehicle is for accessories, like a bike carrier, etc. |

I KNOW that if you call U-Haul, they can tell you if they WILL install a hitch or rent you such a trailer. It does not matter if you have a hitch or not. Personally I would not recommend it, due to possible engine damage, transmission over heating and not to mention that you cannot stop it.
