Should Under Lights Under Vehicles Be Legal?

I understand that Red, Blue, and White are for emergency colors and I respect that. What about Green, Purple, Orange (amber), etc.
Some people may say "Because it's distracting" well my answer to that is: police lights and other flashing lights are distracting on the road, should they take THEM off because people watch as they go by? I drive with Green no pattern LEDs and when I go by people and cars most of them don't even know they're on or even care. I drive with them on because I like them, I have never caused an accident or even a distraction.

Lights like the ones you are describing and riding around with should only be legal if you are licensed to have those lights. What is the purpose of having lights on your vehicle? Are you alerting anyone about something? Or are you riding around with them because you just want to? My point is that lights should have a purpose, otherwise they do become a distraction especially if you are not a particular authority, be it mall cop, parking lot security, or police officer. It is distracting to drivers because if they see a vehicle with lights and the person driving is not an authority they may wonder why the lights are there in the first place which can be misleading. So no it shouldn't be legal unless you have special permission and license to do it, and you are an authority. Otherwise its pointless.

Under lights are just goofy and lame, sorta like painting the differential with silver paint or hydraulic shocks to make the car jump, it just looks stupid.

Sometimes at night they can be very confusing. Some states they are illegal. They really serve no purpose at all.

Police and emergency vehicle lights are supposed to be distracting so that other motorists will notice them. If every car on the road had distracting light on them emergency vehicles would be ignored and people would die. Your arguement is totally without merit.

I don't see a thing wrong with them. But like everything else the cops like to push people around.

Numerous neon signs along the road flickering and the things you DO want to see can't have lights on it because it would be distracting. That doesn't make sense. Cars should be lit up like Christmas trees.
