Yes............
There is no reason for a pregnant woman not to wear a seat belt. If she is concerned about her baby, she must realize that keeping herself alive is the first step in protecting her unborn child.
Pregnant women should always wear both lap and shoulder belt, sitting as upright as possible.
The lap belt should be worn low so it pulls downward on the pelvic bones, not directly against the abdomen. |

A pregnant woman has more reason to wear a seat belt than anyone else. You are protecting two lives and it would be pretty selfish not to protect the unborn.
Extensive testing has proven that a properly secured seat belt will not harm the baby or mother. |

Yes. Wearing a seat belt is essential to everyone that is in the vehicle. If you do not then you are in greater risk of injury if an accident should occur. If you are not wearing your seat belt you could be ejected from the vehicle, causing severe injury or death. Also the trauma to your child would be greater than if you are strapped in. My suggestion to anyone who is pregnant is to adjust the seat belt for comfort. Seat belts have the ability to adjust so that it isn't too tight or too loose. |
