Hey my civic needs new tires BADLY! there bald i mean bald but not the the metal strings...im planning to get some brand new falken ziex but all 4 an installion an balencing is about $221.88 out the door....and my dad always got tires but there used for cheaper does this sound good?...new tires does last me longer but for how long too?

Tires are very important and it sounds like you could have a blow out at any time too. So for safety sake get new or at least better tires! $221.88 does not sound that bad either. Tires are expensive! All part of owning a car. Good luck |

new tires are MUCH better than used tires. People dont just throw away good working tires they replace tires when they are worn out. getting used tires is not a good idea and the only time i would ever get them is if i was in a crunch and had a blow-out in which case i would need to replace the tire immeadietly |

how long your tires last you mostly depends on how fast you drive and how you drive. but new tires are supposed to last you for years ( give it about 4-6yrs). i suggest that you can get used tires if you want, but check them out first. some tires are good cheap ones, and some can be as bald as yours, some even worse. |
