I'd report him to the local council who license cab drivers. He is supposed to be a professional driver, and they won't be happy that drivers they license are abusive or driving in a manner considered careless or dangerous.
If you did nothing wrong then even if he were to lose his taxi drivers license (unlikely, unless he's been reported for similar incidents before) and couldn't afford to pay his mortgage it isn't your fault. It's his - for driving like a t***!
If he was over tired as someone stated he shouldn't have been driving. Driving tired is worse than driving drunk. |

If it was accidental there is no point in getting the guy in trouble. Maybe if he flipped you the bird and was aggressive about it and he was at fault. probably the best thing is to let it go. Remember about the times when you goof up too (we all do to some degree) cause we are human and prone to error. Sometimes those guys are put tp 12 hour shifts just to make enogh to put food on their plate. Maybe he was over tired. They drive an awful lot of miles and hardly make much really. some of those cabs are real tuna boats too, with 600,000 miles on them and stuff. Not the easiest vehicle to keep under control at all times. Cut him a little slack. He probably never saw you until he was already committed. I've crossed the road before and thought I had eye contact with the driver and almost got hit, like they were in a trance and were looking right through me. You and I both know, whoa man you have to be real careful crossing the road. Don't even think that a crosswalk, a bunch of painted lines on the road is going to offer any real security. That's a deadly mistake huh! |

Just make an anonymous call to the council taxi licencing department, mention what happened. You never know, others might have reported the same car before and he might be on three strikes and out!
I often get idiotic taxi drivers overtaking my pupils on bends, roundabouts, before junctions etc.. very dangerous, and I report them every time.
Though before any taxi drivers start moaning - the vast majority aren't idiotic, and drive relatively respectfully - I used to be one whilst training to become an adi. |

If you feel you were being abused then report him, if ,on reflection, you might consider yourself culpable , then move on and forget it. |

Yes. I think you should. He / She will at least get a warning and might just improve their driving behaviour. why should dangerous motorists get away with this selfish and irresponsible actions, |

Yes, if you feel he was to blame, not paying attention, driving recklessly or too fast etc... |

Yes I would report it. Call the police helpline and report it. You need to report this incident as it could happen to someone else who may not be as lucky as you and may get hit by him and get seriously injured. |

Yes you should and you also should not have to put up with this, also after reporting this you should call back and do a follow up..... |

Wat do you hope will happen by reporting him? It happens sometimes and no one was hurt. What if it's the first time the guy has ever done that but you get him fired and he can't feed his kids and they become homeless. I could see making a call if the guy hit you but not for an almost. I get run off the road or cut off by women on their cell phone daily but No point reporting them. |
