Should my friend put a "hidden driveway" sign near his driveway? will it help?

My boyfriend lives on a windy road where the max speed is 45mph and alot of people tend to go faster im talking 60-65mph. anyway we cant see both sides of the road one is blocked by a tree and the other is a rock that is on the left side of his house. should he put up a hidden driveway sign up to at least warn people theres a hidden driveway? or not i know drivers on the road have right of way. but alot of them are speeding on this street. it makes it hard to look both ways of the road when both ways are blocked. what should he do?

They are driving 60-65 mph, not paying attention to the speed limit signs. Why on earth would you expect them to pay attention to your hidden driveway sign. By the way, it would not be a legal sign - must be approved by your local transportation authority.

Notify the police and explain the problem. They may do a few enforcement actions, but the problem will reappear.

You may be required to pay for and remove the tree and rock to improve your view (if they are on your property).

Your friend is not authorized to put up any kind of traffic sign. He can move his driveway, cut the tree, or move the rock.

I honestly don't believe anybody pays attention to those hidden driveway signs. A waste of money. I'd ask the local police if they might run speed checks on your portion of the road once in awhile. Once the word gets out that the area is checked with a speed gun, people will slow down.

I agree with the people who state that most drivers will not pay attention to your sign. Here is what I suggest you do. Contact your local municipality and request them to either 1) lower the speed limit or 2) put in speed bumps. (this usually slows down the drivers. 3) have the police set up speed traps frequently.
another potential solution is to perhaps clear an area at the entrance of the driveway which would offer you a better view of the road when you exit. Cut the tree and brush. But, in the meantime, Please exit with caution. Do drive out (Do not back out) and do not gun it, this only adds to the maintenance costs of your vehicle.

whats the point? Put any sign up that you'd like (which is illegal on a street), your first problem was about speeding so by the time someone see's it, what will it do? Learn how to drive and deal with it or don't use the driveway.

It's against the law for him to put up his own sign. He can ask the agency that maintains the road for one. He should not rely on it to keep him safe.

just make sure your car is coming out frontwards and gun it to like 30 mph as your coming out of the driveway lol
