"Raised", the word you were looking for is "raised". If the government is considering such a drastic move as raising the age limit for getting a driver's permit, it is likely because it has done studies showing it will decrease the # of accidents, lower insurance costs, improve traffic and raise revenues for mass transit. So I suppose all in all, it is a good idea.
However, I can definitely understand how kids who are almost old enough to get their licenses would feel differently. It is a tough call for any government to make.

I feel that the driving age should be 18. Most 16 years olds haven't really mastered multi-tasking yet and with cell phones there is not even more to pay attention to. Not only that most traficc accidents involve young drivers. |

The current driving age is 18years in India.I don't think it should be raised.I think a person is big and matured enough by 18 to handle a car safely without any problems.Besides people find it difficult to wait even till 18 to get their hands on the steering wheel so how can you expect them to wait longer? |
