It should be raised to 21 as the younger generation has proved that they are not responsible enough to drive. I learned when I was 16 but we did not go around ignoring the law. And if we lost our license period. We did not drive around making loud noises all night long, do dumb stunts in traffic. So you kids have ruined for yourselves. |

I've been driving for over 20 yrs, and I learned to drive in high school at 17. I think the driving age should be raised to 17 yrs old. Or, put more limitations on 16 yr old drivers, such as only daytime driving. That way we can reduce the chance of DUI.
I was rear-ended by a teen driver 5 yrs ago. He said he wasn't paying attention, and was talking to someone in the backseat.

I dunno. I think it depends if the driver is responsible... but they aren't just gunna make everyone take lie detector tests to see if they're gunna drunk drive. |

Well since I am only 17. It should stay at 16. It would be stupid to raise it to 18 |

It should be raised to 18. Just look at the statistics - too many injuries and deaths by inexperienced teen drivers. They are not responsible enough. |

I think that an unrestricted license should be provided at 19 or when the person finishes school (minimum 18 yrs old); whatever comes first, and allow a restricted license to travel to and from work at the age of 17.
During the time of the restricted license, if the driver is pulled over for any moving violation, their license should be suspended for 60 days if it's the 1st time. Longer if it's the 2nd time.
That's a very smart thing to do |

The way a lot of idiots drive in this city (Orlando), and country period, yes, I think the driving age should be increased to at least 18 or 20. I think some, not all teens need time to mature, and appreciate that driving is really a privilege. When teens are new at driving, excitement drives the car, not discretion and caution. |
