Definitely raised. The leading cause of death of people between ages 15 and 20 is auto accidents. |

Neither, but the tests should be made harder, to weed out the idiots. |

Raising the age wouldnt change the fact that there are many dangerous drivers out there.Lowering the age would be idiotic kids are immature. |

It's fine where it is. Drivers all are scary till they learn and the only way to learn is to do. |

I think it should be raised to at least 18. And I find it funny that no one has mentioned elderly people behind the wheel. I think that after a certain age, elderly people should be required to take a driving test every year. I see more scary elderly drivers out there than I would ever want to. Their eyesight goes bad, their hearing goes bad, and they're so focused on what's in front of them, that they forget to look in their mirrors and see that they're holding up traffic that wants to get around them because they're driving 40 in the left lane in a 60mph zone. Driving isn't a right, it's a priviledge. If you can't drive safely, you shouldn't be allowed to drive. |

left alone. true most accidents involve people between ages of 16-18 but that is because of inexperience. if you raise the driving age all you'll do is make all accidents with ages of 21-25 it's all about experience not maturity |

Insurance companies don't think young men are very safe of responsible until they turn 27. In the interest of fairness and equality an public safety , I think everone should have to wait until they are 27 yrs of age before they drive. |

I think it should stay right where it is. a6 is perfect...u are responsible enough and by that time u need a vehical to get places unless u want mommy driving u evrywhere. |

It's in process of being raised to 18 yrs of age in Illinois. It was 16. I got my license when I was 16. There was no problem with that. I think that it doesn't matter how old you are you still will need practice to learn how to drive. No matter what age you are. I think it needs to go back to 16. An 18 yr old is not necessarily more responsible than an 16 yr old. |

Ya' know I dunno...if kids were taught right maybe there wouldn't be a problem but kids I swear have ADD and they are reckless...I'd have to go with my gut and RAISE IT.....damn idiots.. |

How about requiring all teen drivers to actually go to a driver's ed. class and take a driving test with an officer/trooper before just giving them a license because their parents "taught" the, how to drive.
Raising the age limit doesn't really help. I know plenty of bad drivers in their 20's and 30's and older! |

Raised to 18. Giving a 16 year old kid the keys to a car is stupid. Theyre not able to vote but yet lets give them a thousand pound (or however heavy they are..i have no idea) vehicle to play in traffic with.
People that young are not responsible enough or have enough understanding of the consequences of reckless riving to be given a license. Raise it! |

Some days I think it should be raised with all the crazy drivers out there. Not all of them are teens but alot of them are. Thank goodness we have some good drivers out there. |
