I don't know, should women be allowed to drive SUV's in cities. Technically, most of I-540 and I-40 of the RTP are not in the city, so is it OK for them to drive the SUV there.
I don't think the SUV has anything to do with it. Any vehicle is a danger to anyone else if the driver is not paying attention. The last time I was coming down US-1 into town, some guy had an electric razor,,, and you guessed it,,,, was shaving while driving. If a woman was to shave while driving, I'm sure I would wreck because I would be distracted from the road while watching her..... gig-a-dee, gig-a-dee,,,,,
Now to be honest, the ABSOLUTE strangest thing I've seen, was on 68N, going to VA from Greensboro, and a guy in a sub-compact was playing his bag pipes while he was driving. I nearly wrecked trying to get behind him, make a bet for $20 that some guy would be playing bag pipes while driving, and then catching him to show my passengers before he exited. We tried to take a picture, but when he saw the camera's come out,,, that was that.
So, I vote yes on the woman driver, yes on the SUV's, and no to distractions in the car,,,,, cell phones, MacDonalds burgers, razors, and even bag pipes.
