It would probably be considered felony reckless driving resulting in death. Where I live reckless driving is considered quite serious and is dealt with accordingly.
In some places, including where I live, when death occurs during the commission of another felony a charge of first degree murder can be sought by the district attorney. Normally they don't when a traffic violation is the felony but it can be. Worst case could actually be first degree murder with the death penalty attached. As I said, it doesn't come to this often. In fact I can't remember a case where it has but as I understand it the option is available to the prosecutor.
Normally wrongful death of manslaughter is as far as it will go. Still, it is some serious jail time. Depending on a lot of variables it could go to 10 years. The cases I have watched are normally dealt with in 3 or less years and a real health probational period like 10 years. |

Not only is it a criminal record, but you will go to prison for many years. This means the criminal record stays with you FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE. |

Black Orchid

The chances are it would mean a jail sentence |

Driving at that speed is a matter of choice, deliberate, and therefore no accident, so is a criminal act. |

Yes it is - don't know if it's actually accidental. You might have to face up to charges relating to intentional killing. After all, it's a conscious decision to speed. |

That would certainly not be an accident because you cannot control a car at that speed. How would your conscience feel if you took the life of an innocent person over your own stupidity? You are a criminal if you drive at this speed in the United States of America!!!!! |
|

gam3fr3aks
|
I think you would be charged with Manslaughter in the UK. |

Anything over 100 mph is considered dangerous driving. If your caught doing 120 mph, expect no mercy, your going to jail. If you kill someone at that speed, your going to get 10 years minimum. ( it should be more )
If you like going fast, do it on a track. |
