Hi. Can anyone know of a circuit when installed in cars would give a beep sound when it exceeds a per determined speed (for eg 60Km/h) just like in BMW cars. if there is any websites or any place where I can get this kindly let me..

Thats what a speedometer is for, but yeah i have seen some cars where people put pictures of loved ones over their gages so i understand why one would need such a device. |

The problem with all these control gadgets is that we become dependent on them. If they fail or break, we are lost. Bottom line is that in spite of the GPS, cruise control, etc. when something goes south, it is still you and me - the drivers - who are responsible. Driving is a full time chore. Delegating any our obligations to technology does not relieve us of our responsibilities.

Most GPS Navigation units these days are able to determine the speed you are traveling in and also what the actual speed is of the road you are currently on. With this the units can give you warning of when you exceed the limit by a certain amount.

The best technique is to follow the main rule- Keep your eyes moving and look at your instrument console every 4-6 seconds. That way, you will always know what your speed is, if any "idiot" lights have activated, what your other gauges are reading and what is happening around you. And all of this can be done without the risk of a battery failing, a wire getting broken or a false reading due to electronic interference. |
