I was at a racetrac gas station tonight, and when I was leaving some guy standing on the side of the building said excuse me sir and kept walking towards my truck, even followed me to the part where you pull onto the street. There were cars coming so I ended up having to drive on the sidewalk to avoid him. A cop saw this and confronted the guy. What you think the guy wanted?? Money, or something. I am starting not to feel safe in this area, and this is supposed to be the upper class part of town, and if he wanted to steal the truck, why?? It is a 1988 Ford F150, and it is rusted out, ac don't work, and has no exhaust. This is the whole reason I drive a crappy truck, so people don't steal it, as someone tried to steal my 1989 Ford tempo awhile back, right after I repainted it and tinted the windows.
Additional Details
I'm just glad that cop saw it, that way if he was up to something he won't harm anyone else. The cop didn't seem to mind me driving on the sidewalk, thankfully. I didn't need a ticket.

Gosh, that is scary! That is my fear also. I was a victim of crime back in 1982. I was 15 years old and kidnapped at gunpoint while walking to school.
The guy was a serial rapist and was eventually caught and sentenced to 30 years in prison.
I think what is most important is to know your surroundings, never "look" like a victim. Have a cellphone handy, always. As to why he might have wanted your truck? I don't think it matters much to theives. They will take whatever vehicle is easy. It is a matter of opportunity. |
