Depends on their education and training. Unfortunately most driver ed courses don't apply to the times that most teens have accidents which is at night and in inclement weather. Some states have addressed this by having parents document night driving and bad weather driving which has reduced the number of accidents in those particular states. Then statistics point to the fact that a lone teen in a vehicle is less likely to be involved in an accident with the risk factor going up as the number of teens in a vehicle increase some states are addressing this by laws that prohibit more than one teen in a vehicle unless they are accompanied by an adult. Overall, teens should be among the best drivers as their reflexes are a lot better than older folks but lack of experience and judgment over rides the physical ability. |

Good, otherwise they would just steal a car and drive illegally anyway. |

Driving under the influence is bad of course. If you drink, don't drive and it's bad for teenagers. |

bad we need to lower the drinking age and raise the driving age. for any one that has driven in Germany you will see this works it is a great idea |

teen driving is not bad so long as the teen in question is mature enough to obey the rules of the road.
you know zeuss mom, you should try teaching your neices to act their age, not their shoe size. if the majority of teens would start doing that, things would be much better. |

A lot of teenagers are not really good or bad so much as they are inexperienced. |

Bad if they are under 18. Unfortunatley teen accidents and accident related deaths are up so for now....it's bad. Teens aren't what they used to be. |

Teen driving isn't good or bad. Like someone said it relates to experience. Most teens like to speed, and they do. Once they get in that big accident or get a big ticket, they gain experience and realize that speed isn't as important as safety. |

Good if you get them the driving lessons and being young they learn without the fear that you get if you hold off till later in life. |

Teen driving is bad. I've taught three of my nieces to drive and none of them actually look at the road or in their blind spots or over their shoulder when backing up no matter how many times you tell them. They all drive to fast and talk on the phone too much and one of them has been in three accidents. They are just too young to understand the responsibility of driving a car, not just the financial responsibility but they don't take seriously the possibility of killing someone. Let them walk. Teens need more exercize anyway. |
