the hazards work ok, the bulbs are fine i changed the flasher relay but the problem is the same

Check the switch on the stearing column.

The idea of only right turns has a lot of merit, no turning across in front of oncoming traffic that way.

Possibly a faulty switch in the column, not making contact. True troubleshooting requires knowledge of the vehicle type.

probably is the indicator switch in the column that went bad

Hi there.
You need to check the fuse as well as the relay.
Failing that, is it front AND back? if so, the fault is probably in your steering column and will need an auto-electrician.

Your problem will likely be the combination switch that is located on the steering column.
