On most cars and trucks the passenger side mirror in convex to give a wider field of vision and to help eliminate blind spots.

Inside mirrors are plain mirrors but you can purchase a convex mirror that clips ovet it if you wish.

Plane mirrors are used on aircraft and are used for inspection purposes. Plane mirrors are convex.

well not concave or convex because they're flat (on cars and pickup trucks) but i'd say reflection because "objects are closer than they appear" wouldn't make it plain because if its plain then it would be like a regular mirror like in your house where you appear to be the same distance away than you really are so my guess is reflection
