The signs along the freeway that says "Slower Traffic Keep Right," what do you think that means?

It means that if you're going the speed of traffic, and idiots are swerving around you, then go to the right and let them run to their speeding ticket.

It also means that if you're something of a slower vehicle (say a truck going up a hill) then go to the right. It basically means you don't care if people pass you, you're staying in the safe lane.

It means that you should not drive in the left lane all the time. So no matter what kind of car you have and no matter how much chrome junk you have on it no matter how tall your rims are or loud your radio is you have no business in the left lane all the time.

I often see this sign on steep hills, where large vehicles such as trucks are forced to reduce their speed. In order for this not to interfere with traffic, they need to keep to the right.

I think those signs are put up with the assumption that no one should exceed the speed limit (much like the speed limit signs themselves), even though we all know that never happens, so I would say they probably mean traffic going slower than the speed limit.

However, what I think it means is all non-passing traffic stay out of the left lane or leftmost lanes, depending on how many lanes there are.

think about what you're asking....if you're going under the speed limit chances are you're going slower than the speed limit

By law on the freeway you are only supposed to use the left lane to pass. The signs mean that the traffic that is in the left lane that everyone has to pass on the right should get the he** over in the right lane.

Well when I see a sign saying slower traffic (keep right) .
That means if you are going to be slower or safer then other people keep to right. because people get on the free way to get to there place they want to go faster or it easyer to get to there place that want to be . some people dont like taking back roads and stop here and there so they get on the free way .. speed limit on the free way is 55 to 65 m.p.h. right well if you are going to do 50 on the free way people are going to run you over so you would stay to you right as if you was going to do 55 or 60 or 65 or 70 you would stay to your left .. so there is your answer

It means traffic going more slowly than the average current speed. The assumption of the sign has to be that no one is exceeding the speed limit.
