Primary reason- Americans with Disabilities Act. Anything that is available to the public must have a way to accommodate the handicapped.
Secondary reason- Mass production. Manufacturer's cannot afford the cost of making braille and non-braille parts for the same item. It just isn't cost effective. So everything that company makes has the exact same features. Besides. that ATM machine could be placed in the local WalMart just as easily be placed in the drive through of a bank. |

They are all built that way to cut cost and mass production means.............
Mass production is the name given to the method of producing goods in large quantities at low cost per unit. But mass production, although allowing lower prices, does not have to mean low-quality production. |

Some people are slightly visually impaired and dont' have perfect vision, but can drive.
Also these keypads are also on the "inside ATMs" as well, and that's where the BLIND people go to use the ATM, right?
So, it's easier to MASS PRODUCE all of the ATM buttons in the same way to alleviate changes in factory machinery, etc., therefore making the factory production more efficient.......$$$$ ka ching!! |

Because the drive up machine is the same as a walk-up machine. They are interchangeable. One can be switched for the other. Just mounted different. |

There are so MANY Dumb a$$ Drivers out there
20% Must be blind in one EYE !!!!
But still need cash for Beer or Munchies.
They can't even use their blinkers !
Or drive near the speed limit !
Or drive in 2 lanes at once
No really its a law to help the handicapped that just went overboard...
Just like the same People that put the Braille dots on very sign they make... I've seen signs IN Nascar Drivers meet room with braille, Drivers Only
