This Question is for anyone who pulls trailers a lot(holiday, stock, flat deck, etc).?

I recently bought a holiday trailer (21ft, 3200 lbs dry). Was wondering if it is safe or even legal to pull a trailer with the vehicle on cruise control. I know a few people who do it and they swear its okay to do. What do you people think. I'm pretty new when it comes to trailers. It would be convienient to do so but it just does'nt seam safe. I live in Canada if that matters. Thanks.

Generally speaking, a truck will operate on cruise under a load. You must take into consideration the amount of strain your vehicle is under in order to effectively use the cruise control. If the trailer is empty, sure use the cruise, or even under a "light" load. Just beware of hills, sharp curves, etc. when using the cruise control. I myself wouldn't use cruise if hauling a heavy load, unless maybe on the interstate. Be careful and good luck with your question. Hope I was of some assistance.

I drive an 18 wheel end dump and I use cruise control all the time. you must make sure everything is in good working order to prevent any problems
