Tire pressure for driving in snowy conditions?

Is there any benefit or gain in rge increasing or decreasinge of tire pressure?

You maintain the same air pressure year round. NEVER lower the air pressure for winter! That is a technique to try if you are stuck, and that is the only time you do that. Low air pressure causes over-heating in tires, even in the winter, and that causes tire failure.

very little but if you decrease the air pressure it increases the contact area of the tire and gives you better traction but its not much

have to disagree with olger. lowering air pressure decreases the amount of "bite" the tires get due to the lower ground pressure. in other words the edges of the snow tire have less force when trying to penetrate the snow and also reduce the packing effect which reduces the traction. its not a bad idea to go a size smaller tires for winter to increase the ground pressure by reducing the footprint of the tire. less rolling resistance and higher ground pressure both of which are good things

Keep what the tire recommends in the tires at all times.
