Traffic wardens..........aahhh. hate or tolerate.?

i live in wembley, got an event day permit on my car, so the pigs ticketed me for parking near a tiny dip in the curve. so much for happy days
peace.

I presume you parked across a lowered section of KERB which allows people in wheelchairs to get across the road. So I am not surprised you got ticketed. Be more aware of where you park in future and respect other peoples requirements to access the pavements and roads.

I must admit that in North Wales they appear to be quite human. In the County in which I reside, Conwy, there has been a change in the system and they are observant. Basically, I am careful where I park and for how long I stay there.

Was it a traffic warden, or the police?
What were you actually booked for?

vdv_desantnik
well when you consider that that tiny dip in the curve is put there for people less fortunate than you who are in wheelchairs then the perfectly intelligent gentlemen were quite right to gove you a ticket. As I used to say to everybody who thought I was in the wrong to give them a ticket when I was a traffic warden if they hadnt have parked where they did they wouldnt have the ticket and they only have themselves to blame, and ill say the same to you

happy chappy
they may be necessary!! but most could do with lessons on diplomacy. 2 people i know were ticketed and they had disabled badges. while they were talking about it a couple of other people parked wrongly got away.wardens should use discretion,IF they know what it means.

i dont understand why they would ticket u for a tiny dip near a curve.. what does that mean

Just Government/Police money making machines. The worst bit is they give them targets for how many cars they should ticket in a day and they become very competitive with each other. We're the one who have to pay :(

i live near by you ... i kinda know, my friend lives in neasden he also has permit only, but you have to be careful where you park. it's money for nothing for brent. we have permits from 8:30 - 6:30 so it could be worse..

where i live further down, before we had permits everyone would be parking on my road, going to work leaving their car outside MY house for hours.. i used to come home from work and try to spend 1 hour trying to find a space.

now i always get a space.. but alas have to pay for the privalage of that.. more ways of getting money for doing little.

if you lived in a place like i did, you would kinda welcome them , as its a big joke if you can't park where you pay council tax for.

i've had 1 ticket in 15 years of driving... so not too bad , just be careful where you park =)

Can't stand the b@st@rds they have no compassion and are only out to make money, the amount of stories i have...too many to go into, I'm in edgware and they are always out in full force, but wembley is worse-i do feel for you! you should contest the ticket...what does it mean? i did actually win when i contested a double parking ticket as they had no proof & it was the other car who commited the offence, give it a go.

Ah traffic wardens, people who weren't quite on the same page as potential police officers. They are good for one thing though, just ask an officer of the law -school crossings.

Tolerate. I have low profile tyres and expensive wheels so I can't be mounting pavements when some tosspot has parked on a yellow in a narrow one way street.
