I thought they will ask me to stop as I was speeding or had done something wrong - they followed me for about a minute or so and then left me.
Im worried ever since!

Just to blow one myth out of the water:
V.O.S.A. officers DO NOT need to have police with them to stop you. This requirement was gradually phased out across the U.K. from 2004.
Para 8 of Schedule 5 (PRA 2002) gives the accredited V.O.S.A. officer the power of a constable to stop a vehicle. Also s67(9) Road Traffic Act makes it an offence not to comply with a requirement of section 67. Under s.67(3) there is a requirement to stop for a test if it is a constable in uniform who orders the vehicle to stop. The accredited person will be exercising that power, so anyone who refused to stop would be failing to comply with a requirement under s.67.

They cannot stop you unless the police are present to do the actual stopping.
Your question throws a little suspicion that you may not be totally legal, otherwise why be worried? |

They can't and wouldn't be interested in stopping you. Only the police can do that. Probably they were just going the same way.

They were probably just checking you had the right credentials, MOT, road tax etc.
Try not to worry - what's the worst that could happen? |

Dont worry about it, it was just the vehicle and operator services agency.

vosa check on commercial vehicles, ie taxi's, coaches, trucks, but thy must have police with them to stop you. if you wern't in a commercial vehicle dont worry about it. |

Did you get the registration number? report it to local police etc.
Check the website first and contact them and explain to them beforehand though as they may have had a genuine reason
