PLEASE out of respect for his family and friends, this kind of speculation is terribly hurtful.
Regardless of what caused the crash, the reality is there are a lot of people in great pain right now.
Let it go, and wait for the investigation results. |

Does it matter if he was drunk when he died? People are mourning and crying and are devastated because of his death and you care whether or not he was drunk? That is the most heartless thing a person can do. Rather than waste your time asking this pointless questions you might want to think about how his family and friends are dealing with his death. Nick was an amazing person who was friends to everyone he meets and the world can't suffer a worse loss. He will be missed by all and every and hes spirit will live on through all of the people he met. RIP Nick Rosser. |

Nick was not drunk. If you knew nick then you would know that he loved to drive fast. Especially on palisades drive. He was not drunk he just was being himself and having a need for speed. RIP nick I'm really going to miss you <3 |

One of LA's best known speed traps was just a few hundred yards up, so if he knew the road and was in full functioning capacity it's a bit strange he would have been speeding here. Everyone knows to keep an eye for the cop hiding in his usual nook next to the post box. So much for police deterrence! |

nick was not drunk at the time of the crash. he was going about 85 mph down palisades drive and lost control around a turn. he was driving down to the city to get dinner on break from his job at the highlands rec center. he was just speeding - not drunk. |

he was not drunk
ur ****** up for asking that
hes was a good friend and its the saddest thing and it hurts me
to think hes gone
why the **** would u even ask that, and on ******* yahoo for that matter

RIP NICK ROSSER
p.s. EVERYONE GO TO THE MEETINGS AND EMAIL MOHHAMAD WHO IS IN CHARGE OF CHANGES ON THE ROAD AND TELL AND SAY AND EXPRESS THE FACT THAT PALISADES DRIVE NEEDS TO BE CHANGED ON AN PERMANT INFASTRUCTURE LEVEL. |

Nick Rosser was not drunk, he was going fast and the not smart carpenter hit him head on. If you knew Nick like i do (did) he would never do that. RIP Nick Rosser. We all miss you and mourn over your loss.

I did not know Nick Rosser. But losing him has been one of the worst things that has ever happened to Pali; and to me. It affects everyone, whether you knew him or not. This boy was so loved, and it's just a damn shame that this tragic event had to occur. Whether he was drunk or not (which I don't think is the case), we should not be asking this question. We should be mourning the loss of a great kid, a fellow classmate, a friend. Rest in peace, Nick. We'll all miss you. |

I highly doubt it. He was in my health class and the Thursday before that Saturday we watched Red Asphalt (this video that shows the aftermath of drunk driving accidents) and if you saw that video, there's no way you'd drive drunk ugh :[ |

I had no idea so many people on yahoo answers knew him. Unfortunately regardless of whether he was drunk or not, his carelessness is what got him killed. Don't forget he was only a teenager, speeding on a death road when he died.
PS: I'm not going to scold you over you posting this question, but perhaps it would've been better if you waited a while out of respect. |

Nick was definitely not drunk nor was he under the influence. It was an unfortunate accident probably the result of excessive speed. |

NO HE WAS NOT DRUNK!!!!!!!!!!
first of all, there are no lights on that part of the street, there are no speedbumps, and it was dark out. Nick was a smart kid, i don't think he would drive super fast down sunset & palisades blvd DRUNK. Were YOU in the car with him?? Don't judge, and mind your own business.
rest in paradise nick you've always been a great friend.

Well, at this point, it's speculation--was he drunk? on the phone? texting? What IS known is that he was driving incredibly fast on a notoriously accident-prone stretch of road. A great way to honor Nick would be to tell the truth about this, and to do whatever you can to prevent senseless accidents like this is the future. For those who feel that Nick was just expressing his "need for speed," and defending him, I hope you value his life more than this suggests. His loss has devastated his family and friends. No parent, sibling, or girlfriend should ever have to go through this. |

All of you people up top need to seriously back off. this person just asked a question, and yes the person could have worded it better, but he didn't so deal. And what do you mean. "i you would have known nick..."? Nick was in my 6th period health class and we talked, but I didn't know liked to drive fast, so that comment makes no sense. And also, no one is stating the hard, hurtful truth. This accident was Nicks fault, and could have been prevented. So redirect your anger else where... |

Could be. He liked to drink a lot. But he was also a known speeder and, frankly, he was begging for a wreck like this since the day he got his license. I'm sorry for his family but they knew about his driving and, well, here we are. |

No, he wasn't drunk. He swerved around his friends car and lost control.
