well you can just drive it...but if you get caught you get a nice ticket...
or you can go to a shop that does inspections...most of them will give you the sticker for more money...

As annoying and expensive as those inspections are they are there for a reason, and that is to ensure that the car is safe to drive.

If you skip it or bypass it then your car maybe unsafe and you are endangering yourself and everyone else on the road.

If you're in a state that requires a periodic inspection, and you don't have it done, they won't renew your registration when it comes due. Without current registration your car can be impounded and held until you get the registration, which you can't get without the inspection, so you would have to pay for another tow to have it inspected.

You can of course skip it by not driving your car or selling it and making it no longer your problem, unless you're in CA where the seller has to supply a good inspection report to sell the vehicle.
