What's a good car for a sixteen year old girl?

It has to be safe obviously. Probably some sort of sedan. No SUVs! I hate them. Nothing crazy expensive. We will buy it used anyway.

I just asked for a car not advice. I have to have a car when I turn sixteen so I can drive my self to school because my parents have to work and its the only way. In Arkansas we get our licenses at 14 and get our licenses at 16. I am a better driver than most adults I know because I don't feel like I am so experienced that I don't have to follow the law. Not that this anyway pertains to my question,but neither were some of yor answers.

one that you can buy by yourself, it makes you respect the car so much more. Get a small sedan with a 5 speed. Something like a cavalier, neon, focus, even a honda, or toyota would be good, just a little more to get it worked on.

Probably a Civic, Mazda3, or Corolla.. But lets be honest with ourselves, shall we? Although it's legal for a 16-year old to drive, do you really think, honestly now, that she should be on the road? I didn't think so.

toyota, honda or chevy. i love cars with good gas mileage. dont get a hybrid though. they're a joke. my lexus gets more mpg than a nissan hybrid.

A mid-size GM sedan from 2000 to 2005 will be very safe and keep the insurance rates down as well.

Jason M is retarded. I live in NJ and we dont get our licenses until we're 17(which is changing to 18 in like 2 years), but we do get our permits at 16(which will be 17). I'm 17 and have a 2001 honda civic. Two of my friends have totaled cars, one a jeep liberty and one a subaru impreza. I would get her a car depending on her driving ability, if shes a horrible driver get her a safer car, and if shes good get her a car with good gas mileage
