What's wrong with my cars signal blinker?
Find answers to your legal question.

What's wrong with my cars signal blinker?

When I turn on my left signal the little green arrow that appears blinks twice as fast than it used to...the right side still blinks at its usual pace. What would cause it to blink twice as fast? I haven't actually checked to see if my signal light on the back of my car is blinking twice as fast too so I dunno about that. Anyways, is this something I should be worried about or no?

I'm a girl so I don't know a THING about cars lol

It means you have a light out on the blinkers check the front and back to see which one is working and change the one that isn't or have someone do it for you

Simple, one or more turn signal bulbs are burnt out or busted. The change in resistance makes the flasher relay blink faster.

You have a blown bulb on the side that is blinking fast.

everyone else has the answer so im just gonna add a little learning to the top here... the reason it is blinking twice as fast is that there is half the draw on the circut, because half of the bulbs are out(yes half is 1) that means that the flasher builds its charge twice as fast, and that means the bulb will flash twice as fast.

Check the signal bulbs on the left side, one is out. Girls can learn about cars too, so don't feel bad.

check front and rear blinkers if the bulb is burner out will blink faster. also check the flasher under the dash. hope this helps.

Girls can know about cars if they try. My sisters car did this back in high school (I called it hyper blinker) and it's just a problem with the timer fuse. It needs to be replaces, and this shouldn't cost you more than a few bucks for the part and labour. While you're there, ask the mechanic to show you what they're doing and maybe you'll lean a thing or two about cars.
