When people drink, we can often misjudge our sobriety (or lack of). Alcohol, while is technically a depressant, can create states of euphoria and confidence and lower inhibitions and judgment. Its an easy mistake to make, but its always better to give up the keys and get home alive... even worse would be killing someone else. |

The question is why is it so socially acceptable and why aren't people better educated on it? Just saying "don't drink and drive" isn't enough. A few unrealistic commercials here and there aren't enough. The sad fact is media does more to PROMOTE IT than discourage it. The public should be made completely aware of what all the ramifications are if they do it. The REAL and TRUE possibility you may kill or permanently injure somebody else or yourself. Living with the consequences long after the fact. The costs and fines. Loss of respect from people, and so on. Some people get it, but far too many don't, or they think it won't happen to them. This is something that needs to change. |

people who drink alcohol tend to want to get out and do things when drinking. Its hard for some people to just sit at home when they could drive around or go talk to friends.alcohol makes you think well hell i cant sit here i will take a chance at it. i wont be gone long or some just dont think |
