If you're asking about snowy/slippery roads, then the first rule is to not be in a hurry. Don't make quick maneuvers.
Leave lots of room between you and the car in front.
Easy with the brakes and throttle.
Good tires.
Clean your windows.
Leave early and don't worry about being late. Late is better than being in an accident.
Stay calm.
Find a vacant parking lot and practice when you can.

Drive slow, be patient, both hands on wheel, relax your shoulders, breath deep to stay calm, don't pass, stay far behind other cars in case they stop suddenly. Just be cautious and alert and you'll be fine.
