What are the chances of you getting pulled over by a cop if you're driving alone with a permit?
Find answers to your legal question.

What are the chances of you getting pulled over by a cop if you're driving alone with a permit?

I still have another 3 months until I get my drivers license but I am really impatient and I want to know what are the chances of me getting pulled over.

And btw, i just want to take it to my school and back, which is only a minute drive.

Thank youu

Your chances are average if you drive carefully, but on just a permit you likely don't have enough experience to do that. If you speed, tailgate, run a stop sign, whatever, your chances are way worse than average, and so is your driving future. Don't chance it; it's not worth the hassle you'll have.

So long as you drive sensibly it probably isn't very likely, but if you do get stopped and ticketed, many states will not allow you to obtain your license until you're 18. If it's only a minutes drive why take a chance when you can walk it in three.

just make sure that all your headlamps, and tail lamps are working and don't drive recklessly.

Pretty good they are trained to look for people doing what your doing. And then there are people who know that call the cops I got three busted last week.

It's hard to say since it depends on the cops in your area but the other answers are right...
If you drive without any problems to attract the attention of the police you might be ok but getting caught means you might not see that license for a long time... not to mention that your folks will also be held responsible for letting you drive illegally. If the worst happens and you were to get in an accident, their insurance could even refuse to pay since you weren't operating legally.
The other problem is that there's always the chance that near the school, the cops are looking for kids doing this... unless you happen to look real mature for your age (and the cops are usually pretty good at noticing that) they might pull you over because you look young.
All in all... don't risk it... the negatives definitely outweight the positives.

Don't do it, its that simple and as you said yourself your are impatient and that will be your downfall.
