What are the many road rules....?

Staying in the left lane on the interstate while not passing, passing in the right lane with limited space just to gain a car or two ahead of traffic in the left lane (but of course if people would just get out of the left lane while not passing or speed up more, people wouldn't pass on the right), driving 75 mph in the rain on the interstate, people who merge slowly on the interstate and don't speed up to traffic speed before merging, people who pass and then get in front of me going slower then me, being cut off where I have to break, people pulling out onto the road in front of me going slower then me, and when someone breaks and turns without putting on a turn signal.

Anytime I ride in a car while my 74 year old mother (God love her) is driving is an adventure comparable to the chase scenes in the movies. Several near misses so far.....never checks her blind spot, always speeds and tailgates people, and sometimes even swears at other drivers (always their fault...lol). I haven't had to keep her out of a fistfight YET, but impatient by nature doesn't bode well to one with reflexes and judgment skills in rapid deterioration...I'm afraid soon will come the day she'll either cause an accident or be unable to avoid one. The thought of telling her just how dangerous she is on the road is still slightly more scary than actually riding with her!

Friendly Stranger..

There are two things that tick me off as it relates to driving. The first is when I see other drivers using their cellphones. In some states they are trying to ban the use of cellphones behind the wheel. Cellphone usage is a hazard and has caused many accidents over the years. When you are using your cellphone while driving your concentration is obstructed. You are not aware of your surroundings or any changes in your environment. You become a hazard to everyone else. The second thing that gets me upset is when drivers do not use their turn signals when turning or changing lanes. Not using your turning signal is hazardous as well because you do not allow time for other drivers to know what you are as the driver are going to do. Basically you cause other drivers to have to assume what move you will make and if you are following too closely you could have a rear end collision. Overall I believe drivers should pay attention to the road ahead of them to avoid accidents and be courteous to other drivers on the road.

IKNOWALL?

when the green signal changes to amber , you are supposed to stop if you have not already crossed the stop line. but that is when most people pick up speed and you run the chance of being knocked over for following the rules.
