Seating capacity isn't a function of theory, it's a function of size. A car, based on it's physical dimensions can only seat (at most) 6 people practically.
Seating limits are placed by the number of seats with seatbelts in a vehicle. The number of seats and seatbelts are determined by the number of seats that can physically fit in a car while ensuring that each person has enough space to sit in some degree of comfort and safety.
Larger vehicls like a bus use the same principal. Think of a greyhound bus. If the bus was larger, it would have more seats. The number of seats is set by the size of the bus and how much physical space each seat takes. |
