If you're not doing it on public road endangering peoples' lives, then check the Michelin range. If you're drag racing in public streets, then I guess you should get a really worn out tyre so that you have an accident and go to where you ought to before killing some innocent people.

You will want to go with street drag radials...as wide as you can fit assuming you have something with real torque. Nitto makes a great set and BFGoodrich does as well. You can find them in the ultra high performance section on tirerack.com

Hankook RS2. Freakin cheap! Close to an R compound, okayish wear characteristics, often used for autocrossing events worldwide with good results, good looking tread pattern. I use them on my car and for the price you pay, I don't think theres a better choice really. I also know of someone here in New Zealand who has a 10 second road legal Evo and he uses the same tyres for street dutys.
