What can I do about this kids running around hitting my car?

I was recently the victim of vandalism to my car. From my experience you have to have absolute proof to get anything done. Record whatever you see. Have any witnesses record what they see. Take out a video camera or digital camera and get some video tape or pictures. Go to the police and report it. Take pictures of damages done, make two copies. The police will want to keep a set, and you want a set for yourself.

A couple years ago there were a bunch of teens and young adults having a crazy party across the street. They started throwing beer bottles near my car. I called the police that time. I was watching from my upstairs window. The police issued some really big tickets, and put a stop to it. Some neighbours hated me for calling the police, but I became friends with the ones that were too intimidated to call.

go out and tell them to go away and stop it or you will get the police on them....
but seriously make sure you do something about it and fast...or something might happen to that car of yours...
that's soo rude too...

I've had this problem too. About the only thing you can do is call the police. They might not seem to be doing anything but they keep records of reports and if they get enough of them (even if they're all from you) they might do something. Or get a photo or video of them, if you can, for proof for the police.

Yes call the cops if the parents dont care and you know it was that kid. because then the parents will have to pay and flip out on the kids then

First off since the parents of the brats won't help,
Talk to your landlord.
Problem still persists,
get a picture of the kids doing it,
stop them, right after call the cops and press charges :D

Parents will freak when you get evidence and being told that you'll sue.
& Plus you if you win, your new car can get fixed up for any chips and damages by those brats. I highly doubt they'll be screwing with your car again.

& If you don't feel like getting the rightful justice that way,
Then you should buy a bat, some BB guns, and start retaliating my friend :D

Yes, call the police. If you don't do it soon, then they will stop playing around our car. Don't tell them to go away, instead, first call the police so they can see what's goin' on.

well you could put a cover over your car. that would protect it from scratches. try asking them and avoid yelling at them because when your not around they may just do it on purpose.

If i were you first thing i would do is to buy a car cover which can be used when you park in your apartment, this will not only be a barrier for the children but also protect from weather.

Yeah, parentws are about useless today. I would get a camera and get a picture of it if possible. Park close to where you can see the car or maybe park away from the apartments. Problem is these kids know they are getting away with this and that is worse...parents need to step up, but they won't. See about maybe sitting up and waiting on them...an alarm...maybe get together with other tenants and form a watchdog group where you take turns watching or patrolling with a camera....maybe put out a flyer offering a reward for the psrson responsible....good luck.
