There are a number of really asinine reasons why a car spins, but the most common one is that when you slam on the brakes at high speed, the weight of your car transfers to the front. This takes weight off the back tires, and they have less traction. If the driver slams on the brakes and turns at the same time, as if he is trying to avoid hitting the car ahead of him, the back end of the car will break loose and the car will spin. This is commonly referred to as "driver error". I know this firsthand because I have left 360 degree skid marks on the freeway because I slammed on the brakes and turned at the same time to avoid hitting the car in front of me. It is truly shocking to me that Dodge Man, with his years of experience as a "mechanic", didn't tell you this. And as a warning to the other people here who seem to know it all, it is extraordinarily difficult, bordering on impossible, to leave skid marks on ice, snow, or water. |

If not a high-speed blow-out, or stunting, it would be some thing on the road, like black ice, oil, etc, causing lack of contact between tires and the road. |

Hard to say. Black ice, a mechanical failure, driver overcorrecting. I'm sure there are a bunch of reasons for something so odd to happen. |

more than likely if they were a perfect 360 degree skid mark or a (donut) someone with a high powered car was doing just that cutting a donut...if u ever watch nascar when they guy wins and he usually does a donut in the infield in front of the grand stand before taking his victory lap.....a donut in a vehicle is just that using the power of the vehicle to make a perfect circle and when u finish it looks like a donut |

if its got positive traction rear end in it,and one side of it goes bad it will do this ,my barracuda did this once on me,and i didn't even know it had went out,all you had to do was gas it a little ,and it would turn around and head the other way,it got a little scary after a while,,but that's probably it,good luck,maybe this will help. |
