I realize this question is kind of odd, but after writing my previous question involving seatbelts last night (see profile for that one), I've become quite curious about this issue. And I figured that it couldn't hurt to ask, so here we are.
For the record, the ones in my car are beige.

The seatbelts in my car are greyish, matching the interior upholstery. I believe they usually match the interior or they are just black. |

Interesting question.... I think most seatbelts are the same color as the interior of the car. In our Galant, they are beige. In our Caravan, they are gray. Our beige ones are hard to keep clean, though. Yuck. |

often times, it depends on the maker of the car and the price levels....
lower end cars generally tend to have black seat belts.... or a single color, no matter what color the interior of your car.... it's cheaper for the manufacturer to have 1 million belts in one color, rather than 100,000 in silver, 100,000 in beige, etc., etc., etc....
higher end cars and trim levels tend to be matched to the interior of the car.... so if you have a gray interior, you have gray belts... tan interior has tan belts and so on....
Mine are a gray tone - because the interior of My car is a gray/silver tone... they match with the other interior materials. |
