I had a blown tire and there were some guys that stopped by to help me put on the spare tire. Well the jack that i had was a really cheap tiny one and when they had it raised and was getting ready to replace the tire with the spare the jack gave out and the car fell. So i was just wondering if there is anything I should be looking for and what this could do to a car. Its a bmw model is 582i and im just concerned. Any answers would help!!! Please.....

Most likely there will be no damage. Damage that could occur would be to the brakes, like maybe bending the backing plate on the rotor. If that happened you'd hear what sounds like brakes scraping when you drive. An easy fix for any mechanic (just bend it back by hand). I wouldn't worry about it. Just be glad it didn't land on someone's foot! Never trust a jack. |

You can damage the brake rotors, the axle and just about anything and the best thing for you to do is have the vehicle inspected while on a lift just for safety reasons....... |

If the tire was off the car at the time the car fell off the jack, there is a risk of damage to the rotor if the rotor hit the ground.
If you didn't see any obvious damage to the rotor, then the car should be fine. You may have a few scrapes on the undercarriage, but nothing else to worry about. |

Chances are nothing was hurt. If anything, the only damage would be superficial. If you don't see anything cosmetic (scratches on ground effects, bent floor pan, etc.), forget about it. The frame protects the rest. |
