What do you do if your breaks give out on your car while you're driving?

try the emergency brake
pump your brakes to C if you can get any brake pressure

open all windows - kill the engine - down shift - side swipe some shrubbery - ram the car ahead of you and let him stop or turn the steering wheel a full 180 degrees - I am assuming you don't have manual transmission for some positive breaking by down shifting
all else fails thro the car into reverse and pray like _____.

pump the brake pedals continuously it might be able to build up the pressure in the brake lines. if you drive a stick shift car then just downshift to lower gears. if its auto pull up on your e brake handle gradually

The front and rear brakes are separate so one end should keep working. The emergency brake is operated mechanically so that should work if all else fails.

pull the emergency break, but first try to find a place that would make your car slow down like going up a hill or driving in the grass

Don't panic. Pump the brakes. Downshift. Try the parking brake. Check if your horn works. Look for a place to pull over.

Don't worry, it will never happen. Modern cars have two separate systems, each one operating the brakes on two wheels, and the likelihood of them both failing at the same time is beyond astronomical.

Use the clutch and get it down to 1st gear.

Put car into Neutral, use parking brake or e-brake to slow down or if that don't work, down shift transmission

First, try the emergency brake. And, if that doesn't work, downshift. If you have an automatic, just put it into 3rd, or 2nd, and then into First, or Low.

first of all, they are BRAKES. not breaks. what you need to do is downshift the car. on a manual car this is easy, go to 3rd than 2nd than 1st. but on an automatic just put it in low or whatever your car has. pump the brakes. you normally don't pump the brakes on a car with ABS, but it can still build up pressure. then try to move the car to the side of the road. make sure to use hazard lights, turn signals, etc. a gravel road will slow the car down a lot. if there isn't one, ride up against a guardrail or some bushes. if all else fails and you are going downhill, run into a car in front of you. make sure you tell them that you will be doing this ahead of time (use the horn).

shift down to a lower gear and if you have to after that because you may wreck throw it into reverse as a last attempt to stop the car or hurt someone or yourself. but don't put it into reverse unless you are left with no other options as this will tear out your tranmission.
